Community Based Mentoring
Community Based Mentoring allows matches to meet almost anywhere, from the Big Brother or Big Sister’s house, to a softball game or a movie.
Matches in the Community Based program enjoy flexibility and freedom in their meetings. Bigs and Littles meet two to four times a month. During their meetings, matches might do something special or just enjoy their time together. BBBSCI has many activity suggestions and offers occasional tickets to sporting, theater and cultural events.
BBBSCI also offers the chance to be a Big Duo. You can pair up with a co-worker, sibling, spouse or friend, and the two of you can mentor a child together.
After a match is made, BBBSCI’s Match Development Coordinators contact the mentor, child and parent regularly to offer help and support.
Community Based Mentoring is fun and convenient – giving a little bit of yourself can make a big difference.
