Newton Area Big Brothers Big Sisters
For more than 10 years, the Big Brothers Big Sisters Newton office has provided mentors to children in need of a supportive role model. Serving children in both the Newton and Colfax Mingo areas, the organization offers two mentoring programs through which individuals can get involved: Community Based Mentoring and School Based Mentoring.
Thanks to the support of the Newton community, Big Brothers Big Sisters’ mentoring programs have grown from serving 6 children in 1997, to 157 children in 2006.
If you are interested in becoming a mentor and helping a child in your community, sign up now to begin changing a life.
You can be a Big help
If you would like to help Big Brothers Big Sisters in another capacity, we are always searching for organizations and individuals to donate tickets, allowing children and mentors in our programs to enjoy activities in the community together. Or, if you would like to donate an item to the Newton programs, please see our short wish list below. All items can be dropped off at the Newton office, located at:
205 1st Ave., West
Suite B
Newton, 50208
Your help and donations make our programs possible. Thank you, from our staff, and the children served in our programs, for your donations.
